I am a freelance writer (I write poetry, fiction, and nonfiction) and editor, and I'm also a freelance script analyst (I write script coverages). 

As an Adjunct Professor of Religion, I teach in the religion department of Methodist University in eastern North Carolina.

I offer workshops in Christian spirituality, creative writing, publicity and public relations.

I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (psychology and philosophy), Duke Divinity School (at Duke University), and Neumann College's graduate program in Spirituality and Spiritual Direction ( I am a certified Spiritual Guide).

I've served as a United Methodist minister as well as a communications specialist and publicist for the United Methodist Church. I've also worked as a freelance editor and a publicist and editor at a small Southern press that publishes poetry.
